Investigators Meeting

Each year during the annual ASA Anesthesiology Meeting, SmartTots brings together physician scientists who are leaders in the field of pediatric anesthetic neurotoxicity research. This year’s meeting gathered nearly 30 of the top anesthesia researchers worldwide. Presentations were made by individuals sharing their latest pre-clinical and clinical research. There is tremendous value in this type of gathering as attendees have an opportunity to learn details of research in advance of publication. This collaborative sharing of methodologies, challenges and results ultimately promotes the acceleration of the scientific findings. Both the presentations and the private discussions that take place during this gathering help SmartTots to facilitate the translation of research outcomes into future studies, clinical practice, and ultimately the implications for public health.
